GR1T Finalizes Design for New Smart Commuter Bike
6 January, 2025
GR1T Motorcycles is proud to announce a major milestone in its journey toward redefining urban electric mobility. In December 2024, we officially finalized the design of our upcoming commuter motorcycle, created in partnership with the renowned Italian engineering studio Wheelab. The styling freeze marks the transition from concept to prototype, and sets the tone for the future of electric two-wheel travel.
Design Freeze Sets the Stage for a New Era in Urban Electric Mobility
After weeks of intense collaboration, refinement, and ergonomic testing, the design has now been locked just in time for the holidays. This moment not only reflects our team’s commitment to functional beauty, but also ensures we stay on track to unveil a fully functional prototype by mid-2025.
The new model’s design language communicates both lightness and strength. It includes standout features such as:
- A robust frame combining tubular steel with an aluminum swingarm and back section
- Horizontal suspension architecture enabling 9L of practical under-seat storage
- Slimline side panels shaped for aerodynamic performance and visual elegance
Smart, Connected, and Ready for the Urban Future
This isn’t just a beautiful electric bike, it’s a smart one. As urban riders demand more functionality from their vehicles, GR1T’s new model steps up with key digital and sustainability-driven features:
- Dual removable batteries (4.2kWh or 6kWh) for true independence from charging infrastructure
- Optional onboard charger for flexible, in-situ charging
- 4G connectivity, Apple CarPlay / Android Auto, and wireless phone charging
- Three 4K cameras and real-time alert system for rider safety and bike security
- Built for Real Life
With a target dry weight under 100kg, a max payload of 190kg, and a rider-friendly A1 license requirement, this urban electric mobility solution is as inclusive as it is advanced. The modular accessory system allows riders to install back racks and side storage, adapting the bike to both daily commuting and weekend escapes.
This design freeze isn’t the finish line, it’s the launchpad. The next stage: building the static prototype that brings this vision to life.
Follow our journey as we redefine the expectations for smart electric mobility—one frame, one feature, and one ride at a time.
