GR1T and Wheelab Define a Bold New Design Language for their electric motorcycle
11 November, 2024
As part of our mission to redefine the future of electric motorcycles, GR1T Motorcycles has taken a decisive next step in our collaboration with the renowned Italian engineering and design house, Wheelab. Following our official partnership in October 2024, the focus in November has shifted to developing the visual and structural design language of our upcoming urban and suburban electric motorcycle model.
Italian Design Meets Urban Mobility
Wheelab’s team of world-class stylists and mobility engineers have immersed themselves in the technical brief to translate performance specs into a unique, expressive design. The goal: to build an electric motorcycle that not only functions as a zero-emission commuter but also looks stunning in any cityscape.
From material selection to frame geometry, every element of the motorcycle’s exterior is being honed to reflect modernity, minimalism, and rugged elegance. The early sketches and clay models reflect a seamless fusion of Italian flair and practical functionality.
Why Design Matters in Electric Motorcycles
In today’s two-wheeler market, especially within the fast-growing electric mobility sector, design plays a crucial role in customer perception. While legacy motorcycles often focus purely on power and mechanical complexity, electric motorcycles open the door to lighter, more user-friendly, and visually distinct products.
GR1T and Wheelab are addressing a key consumer need: the desire for a clean, powerful vehicle that doesn’t compromise on beauty or personal expression. This is especially critical as our target audience includes style-conscious urban commuters aged 18–55, who value design, sustainability, and innovation in equal measure.
Built for a Changing World
As cities across Europe begin phasing out internal combustion engines and shifting toward low-emission zones, the demand for smart, electric motorcycles is growing rapidly. GR1T’s new model is designed to meet these demands while exceeding expectations on comfort, performance, and aesthetics.
Every detail, from the modular battery integration to the forward-leaning frame lines, is conceived with the future in mind. With removable batteries that charge in any socket, and lightweight materials that keep the total weight under 100kg, this upcoming GR1T model is built to be as practical as it is premium.
Stay tuned as we move into December, when our final styling will be frozen and the journey toward a physical prototype begins. GR1T and Wheelab are on track to launch one of the most exciting electric motorcycles the market has seen.
